As long as this unit is connected to the AC wall outlet, it is not disconnected from the AC power source even if the unit is turned off. [. . . ] If you are pregnant, a senior or have heart problems, we recommend you not to view 3D images. The 3D images can cause nausea or vomiting in those under the influence of alcohol. Parents/guardians should monitor children's viewing of 3D images because they may be unable to handle emergency situations. Do not use the 3D glasses if they are damaged because this may cause your vision to get worse or dizziness. Do not use any chemicals. Cautions for Safety Warning for photosensitivity seizure Some users may experience a seizure or other abnormal symptoms when they are exposed to a flashing light or particular pattern from a video game or movie. If anyone in your family has a history of epilepsy or any kind of seizure, please consult with your doctor before viewing 3D images. If you feel any symptoms listed below when viewing 3D images, please stop viewing and consult with your doctor even if you do not have a medical history. * Symptoms : dizziness, blurred vision or facial tic, involuntary motion, twitching, blackout, confusion, disorientation and wrong decision. User must use shielded signal interface cables (D-sub 15 pin cable, DVI-D cable) with ferrite cores to maintain standard compliance for the product. 5 Connecting the Display Before setting up the monitor, ensure that the power to the monitor, the computer system, and other attached devices is turned off. Connecting the stand 1. Place the monitor with its front facing downward on a soft cloth. 2. The best display mode is 1920 x 1080 INPUT Button (SOURCE Hot key) When two input signals are connected, you can select the input signal (D-SUB/DVI) you want. The default setting is D-Sub. A short example is given below to familiarize you with the use of the controls. The following section is an outline of the available adjustments and selections you can make using the OSD. To make adjustments in the On Screen Display, follow these steps: 1 2 3 4 Press the discretionary Button, then the main menu of the OSD appears. · COOL: Set the screen to cool color temperature. USER RED Set your own red color levels. BLUE Set your own blue color levels. To adjust the contrast of the screen. To choose the language in which the control names are displayed. Restore all factory default settings except "LANGUAGE. " Press the , buttons to reset immediately. Exit : Exit , , : Move : Select another sub-menu 16 On Screen Display(OSD) Selection and Adjustment You were introduced to the procedure of selecting and adjusting an item using the OSD system. Listed below are the icons, icon names, and icon descriptions of the all items shown on the Menu. Press the SUPER ENERGY SAVING Button, then the main menu of the OSD appears. Menu Name Sub-menus Icons Button Tip Exit Move Restart to select sub-menu NOTE OSD (On Screen Display) menu languages on the monitor may differ from the manual. 17 On Screen Display(OSD) Selection and Adjustment Main menu Sub menu ON Description Turn on the SUPER ENERGY SAVING fuction. When current setting value is ON, the SUPER SAVING color is green. OFF Turn off the SUPER ENERGY SAVING function. Now the monitor is LED SAVING function. When current setting value is OFF, the SUPER SAVING color is gray. RESET Clear the TOTAL POWER REDUCTION and TOTAL CO2 REDUCTION values. Exit : Exit , : Move : Select another sub-menu OK : Select TOTAL POWER REDUCTION : How much power is saved during using the monitor. [. . . ] In this case, please ask to the computer or the video card manufacturer. 21 Troubleshooting Display image is incorrect G The screen color is mono or abnormal. · Check if the signal cable is properly connected and use a screwdriver to fasten if necessary. · Set the color setting higher than 24 bits (true color) at Control Panel - Settings. G The screen blinks. · Check if the screen is set to interlace mode and if yes, change it to the recommend resolution. Do you see an "Unrecognized monitor, Plug&Play (VESA DDC) monitor found" message? G Have you installed the display driver?· Be sure to install the display driver from the display driver CD (or diskette) that comes with your display. [. . . ]
