Manual abstract: user guide BH FITNESS SB2

Detailed instructions for use are in the User's Guide.

[. . . ] The maximum number of heartbeats that a person must not exceed is referred to as the maximum heart rate and this value drops with age. A simple formula to calculate this is to subtract your age, in years from the number 220. To ensure that you are exercising correctly, try to keep between 65% and 85% of your maximum heart rate value. For example, the maximum heart rate that a 30 year old user must not exceed is: 220 30 = 190 beats per minute (BPM). [. . . ] Right and left refer to the position that the user adopts when sitting on the saddle to do the exercises. The right pedal, marked with the letter (R), screws onto the right crank, also marked with an (R), in a clockwise direction. The left pedal, marked with the letter (L), screws onto the left crank, also marked with an (L), in an counterclockwise direction. Take the middle cable and connect terminal (h) to terminal (k), coming out of the bottom of the main body (A). Insert the jack on the middle cable into the back of the monitor (see the following instructions for the monitor). EXERTION SETTINGS Figure 7. To provide an even level of exertion during exercise, this appliance is equipped with a tensioning control (Z), located on the stem of the main body (A). To increase/decrease pedal resistance turn the tensioning control (Z) until the exertion level best suits your exercise requirements. During exercise the flywheel will get hot due to the braking effect, so when you have finished exercising it is advisable to set the tensioning control (Z) to minimum in order to help stop the brake shoe from hardening. This tensioning control (Z) is equipped with an emergency braking system which, when applied with force (as shown by the arrow in Figure 7), produces a much sharper braking effect. 3. Fit the saddle into position and tighten the nuts onto the bracket securely. Next insert the horizontal saddle tube (G) through the hole on the saddle post (H). Insert the saddle post (H) into the boss on the main body (A), position it comfortable for doing exercise and tighten the saddle post by using the adjustment knob (T) turning it clockwise. Loosen the saddle post adjustment knob (T) slightly by turning it counterclockwise, move the saddle to a position comfortable for doing exercise H-916 SB2 Indoor Cycle 5 ASSEMBLY GUIDE LEVELLING Figure 7. Once the unit has been placed into its final position, make sure that it sits flat on the floor and that it is level. This can be achieved by screwing the adjustable feet (13) up or down. MOVEMENT & STORAGE Figure 7 and Figure 8. The wheels located at the front of your unit make it easier to move it into a chosen position, by lifting the rear of the unit up slightly and pushing it. Store your unit in a dry place, preferably not subject to changes in temperature. To fit the batteries, remove the rear cover on the monitor, Figure 11, and carefully insert the two "AAA" type batteries into the battery compartment making sure that the battery's polarity is correct (matching the battery's + terminal with the + sign inside the battery compartment, and the - terminal with the - sign). If, after having switched the monitor on, it displays errors or merely partial segments then remove the batteries and wait for about 15 seconds before reinstalling them. Weak batteries (run down) produce a weak digital display (poor contrast) and erroneous readings. Discarded batteries must be deposited in special containers, Figure 12. FITTING THE ELECTRONIC MONITOR Fit the monitor (m) into the boss on the bracket (n), as shown in Figure 13, connect terminal (F) on the middle cable to terminal (E) for the monitor, Figure 14, then connect terminal (h) on the middle cable to terminal (k), as shown in Figure 15 for the feedback cable. ELECTRONIC MONITOR To give you greater control over the exercise, this electronic unit provides simultaneous read-outs of speed, distance, exercise time, calories burnt. The screen will switch itself on automatically as soon as you start exercising or by pressing any key.
