Do not handle the plug or AC power cord with wet hands. This constitutes an electric shock hazard. After you have just used the printer, some internal parts of the printer are extremely hot. When you open the front cover or back cover of the printer, never touch the shaded parts shown in the illustration. Before installation, if you are using Personal Firewall software (e. g. the Internet Connection Firewall available in Windows XP), disable it. Once you are sure that you can print, re-start your Personal Firewall software.
