[. . . ] When you use the Poster feature your machine divides your document into sections, then enlarges the sections so you can assemble them into a poster. If you want to print a poster, use the scanner glass. 6 Press Mono Start or Colour Start to scan the document. If you are making a poster or placed the document in the ADF, the machine scans the document and starts printing. If you are using the scanner glass: 7 After the machine scans the page, the LCD shows: Next Page?1. Yes 2. No Note Please make sure paper size is set to A4 or Letter. For Poster copies, you cannot make more than one copy. Press 1 to scan the next page. 8 Place the next page on the scanner glass. The LCD shows: Set Next Page Then Press Set Press Menu/Set. 9 0 1 2 3 4 5 Press blue. (Copy) to illuminate it in Repeat Steps 7 and 8 for each page of the layout. After all the pages of the document have been scanned, press 2 in Step 7 to end. Load your document. Press or to select 2 in 1 (P), 2 in 1 (L), 4 in 1 (P), 4 in 1 (L), Poster(3 x 3) or Off(1 in 1). Press Menu/Set. 11 11 - 5 Chapter 11 When using the ADF, insert document face up in the direction and sequence shown below. 2 in 1 (P) Poster (3 x 3) You can make a poster size copy of a photograph. 2 in 1 (L) 4 in 1 (P) 4 in 1 (L) When using the scanner glass, place each page face down in the direction and sequence shown below. 2 in 1 (P) 2 in 1 (L) 4 in 1 (P) 4 in 1 (L) 11 - 6 Making copies Sorting copies using the ADF You can sort multiple copies. Pages will be stacked in the order (1, 2, 3), (1, 2, 3) and so on. Adjusting Brightness, Contrast and Colour Brightness You can adjust the copy brightness to make copies darker or lighter. 1 2 3 4 5 6 Press blue. (Copy) to illuminate it in Load your document. --OR-- Press the Options key for more settings. 1 2 3 4 5 Press blue. (Copy) to illuminate it in Load your document. Press Menu/Set. 6 Press Mono Start or Colour Start. To change the default setting follow the instructions below: 1 11 Press Menu/Set, 3, 2. Copy 2. Brightness 2 Press to make a lighter copy --OR-- Press to make a darker copy. Press Menu/Set. 3 Press Stop/Exit. 11 - 7 Chapter 11 Contrast You can adjust copy contrast to make copies with more or less contrast. Colour saturation You can only change the default setting for Colour saturation. 1 2 3 4 5 Press blue. (Copy) to illuminate it in 1 Press Menu/Set, 3, 4. Copy 4. Color Adjust Load your document. Press Menu/Set. 2 3 Press or to select 1. Red, 2. Green or 3. Blue. Press Menu/Set. 6 Press Mono Start or Colour Start. 4 Return to Step 2 to select the next colour --OR-- Press Stop/Exit. To change the default setting follow the instructions below: 1 Press Menu/Set, 3, 3. Copy 3. Contrast 2 Press to increase the contrast. Press Menu/Set. 3 Press Stop/Exit. 11 - 8 Making copies Out of Memory message If the memory becomes full while you are making copies, the LCD message will guide you through the next step. If you get an Out of Memory message while scanning a subsequent page, you will have the option to press Mono Start or Colour Start to copy the pages scanned so far, or to press Stop/Exit to cancel the operation.
