Light Metering Mode
The camcorder measures the light reflected from the subject in order to calculate the optimal exposure settings. Depending on the subject, you may want to change the way the light is measured and evaluated.

The camcorder divides the picture into several areas and the light is measured in all of them to achieve the optimal exposure for the subject. Center-Weighted Average] Averages the light metered from the entire screen, giving more weight to the subject in the center. You can play a slideshow of all the photos and even set it to music.

NOTES · At the time of purchase, music files are stored in the built-in memory. Transfer the music files to the same memory that contains the photos you want to play back as a slideshow. For details, refer to the `Music Transfer Utility Software Guide' (PDF file). · The background music may not be played back correctly when playing back a slideshow from a memory card with slow transfer rates.
Rotating Photos
You can rotate photos 90 degrees clockwise to change their orientation.

1 In single photo view, open the photo selection screen. to rotate the photo.
4 Repeat steps 2-3 to change the orientation of additional photos or press FUNC. twice to close the menu.
Histogram Display
In single photo view, you can display the histogram and the icons of all the functions used at the time of recording. The histogram will be displayed also immediately after taking a photo. Use the histogram as a reference to verify the correct exposure of the photo.

The area to the right of the histogram represents highlights and the left side represents shadows. A photo whose histogram skews to the right is relatively bright; while one whose histogram peaks to the left, is relatively dark.

Capturing Photos from the Playback Scene
You can capture a single photo or a series of photos from a previously recorded scene. The size of the captured photo(s) will be [MW 1920x1080] and it cannot be changed, but you can select the photo quality.
