Do not put the printer on a bed, sofa, rug, or other similar surface or in a built-in installation unless proper ventilation is provided.  Keep the entire computer and printer system away from potential sources of interference, such as loudspeakers or the base units of cordless telephones.  Leave adequate room around the printer to allow for sufficient ventilation. If the printer has been in use, the fusing unit and the surrounding areas may be very hot. If you must touch one of these areas, turn off the printer and wait 40 minutes to allow the heat to subside before doing so.
