The photographed image is displayed for a few moments and then automatically recorded. Use this option to specify whether the camera's power consumption is reduced and the camera is subsequently switched off automatically when it is not being used. Sets the volume of the tone emitted when the camera controls are used. Use this option to specify whether the LCD monitor is automatically switched ON or OFF when the Mode switch is set to "q". When the camera is in sleep mode, pressing the shutter button down halfway brings the camera back to full operational mode. This is a useful feature as it allows you to take pictures more quickly than switching the camera off and then on again. You can also take a picture by pressing the shutter button all the way down. Formatting erases protected files also. G Power Save is disabled when the camera is connected to a USB port. !G Operation can also be restored by pressing buttons other than the shutter button. 1 Use "d" or "c" to select "YES". 2 Pressing the "MENU/OK" button erases all the files and initializes the xD-Picture Card. 4 N To restore power to the camera N The Sleep function does not operate when the LCD monitor is switched off or when the camera is in Setup or Playback mode.
