Please leave this manual with the owner or in the property. NOTE: This instruction book has been abridged to a single language i. e. 9000 235 394 (8703)) Congratulations In buying your new freezer, you have chosen a modern and qualitatively, high grade appliance. Each appliance which leaves our factory is inspected thoroughly to ensure that it functions properly and is in perfect condition. [. . . ] In order to prevent the ice cubes from "sticking together" a metal endless screw rotates in the ice cube container at periodic intervals (agitation function). Do not place bottles or food in the cube container in order to cool them quickly. The ice maker may block and be damaged. Ice and water dispenser Remove where necessary: ! Cooled water Ice cubes Crushed ice can be dispensed as required. Warning! Do not use fragile receptacles for dispensing water or ice risk of injury from broken glass!Do not reach into the discharge opening injury from the cutting blades!Note: The ice and water dispenser only works when the appliance is connected to the water mains. To avoid splashes bring receptacles as close as possible to the discharge opening when removing water and ice. Risk of Switching the ice maker on D Make sure that ice maker container is its place and locked into position. 12. When switching on your new appliance, observe the following: When the appliance has been connected, there are still air bubbles in the lines. D Press the ice maker button : on the control panel. The symbol is lit on the display panel i. Run off drinking water and pour away until water can be dispensed without bubbles. Pour away the first 10-15 glasses. Important note: If the ice cube maker is used for the first time and/or a long period of not being used, do not use the ice which is produced in the first day for hygiene reasons. Throw the ice cubes away and clean the container! Drinking water quality All materials used in the drinks dispenser are odourless and tasteless. If the water has an aftertaste, this may be caused by: Mineral and chlorine content of the drinking water. Freshness of the drinking water (if water has not been dispensed for a long time, the water may have a stale" taste. 15 glasses of water and pour away). Switch the ice maker off. Note: Before switching off the ice maker, it is most important that you switch the water supply to the appliance off for a few hours. To switch the ice maker off: D Press the ice maker button : on the control panel. The water filter fitted into the appliance only filters particles from the supplied water, not bacteria or microbes. 49 Ice and water dispenser control panel Request water button. Lock button for the ice and water maker control panel (childproof lock). The buttons on the control panel are illuminated. Dispensing water D Place a suitable receptacle under the discharge opening. D Press the request water button. Dispensing ends, when the button is released. Tip: The water from the water dispenser is cooled to a pala table temperature. If you would like the water colder, place ice cubes in the glass before dispensing the water. 50 Dispensing ice ! Detachable rest Caution! Do not use the ice dispenser for longer than 3 minutes within a time period of 15 minutes. Risk of damage to the appliance! D Place a suitable receptacle under the discharge opening. Detach the rest in order to place larger receptacles below the discharge opening. D Press the request ice cubes button. or Remove and clean the water capture bowl. Overflow water collects in the water capture bowl and has to be regularly removed. D Press the request button for crushed ice. [. . . ] The water pressure must be between 1. 72 bar and 8. 25 bar so that the appliance works properly. Incorrect taps can cause low water pressure and damage to the appliance. Changing the water filter The water in the tank needs approx. 12 hours pp to cool down. Throw the first glass of water away. Shut off tap incorrectly opened. [. . . ]
