[. . . ] WARNING ­ After producing hot water, the steam wand is very hot and hot water and steam could escape from the steam wand and group head. In the case, you diluted an already prepared drink, wipe the steam wand, using A wet, clean cloth or kitchen towel. For this, you may remove the black sleeve by pulling it down from the stainless steel tube of the steam wand. After wiping, do not forget to remount the sleeve by simply pushing it back into place (see: `Care and Cleaning / Cleaning the Steam Wand'). Grasp the steam wand at the handle and turn the steam wand to the drip tray. Turn the steam dial clockwise to the completely closed position ("0"). Young Children must always be supervised, when the espresso machine is in their reach. During operation and shortly thereafter, the steam wand will be very hot and hot steam and hot water could escape from the steam wand and group head. To avoid splashing of hot milk, before removing the milk, always stop the steam flow by turning the steam dial to "0". When using glasses or plastic mugs, DO NOT point the steam wand directly at the side walls of the vessel, because even heat-resistant glass could crack and plastic could melt due to the extreme local heating. WARNING ­ With the steam button pressed, hot water and steam escapes from the steam wand under pressure, as soon as you turn the steam dial open. NOTE You cannot use the espresso function and steam function at the same time. Various useful tips for texturing milk are given in section `Tips for Best Results / Tips for Texturing Milk'. Prepare the appliance for operation (see: `Preparing the Appliance for Operation').
