Detailed instructions for use are in the User's Guide.

[. . . ] Thus, we ask you to read all provided instructions and information in this booklet carefully and completely, before you start running the appliance. This will help you to know all functions and properties of your new appliance. We especially ask you to adhere strictly to the safety information mentioned in these instructions. The DESIGN BREW ADVANCED will prepare your coffee in a surprisingly short time as filtered by hand. [. . . ] With "CLOCK" flashing, you enter standby mode by pressing the ON/OFF button shortly. 30 seconds, the appliance switches to standby mode automatically and "CLOCK" will be shown continuously. note: It is not crucial to set the internal clock of the appliance if you wish to start the brewing cycle manually (see below). However, if you wish to use the timer, you should set the internal clock correctly, because the internal clock is used for estimating and specifying the demanded starting time (see: "Starting Operation via the Timer"). sTARTING THE BREWING CYCLE MANUALLY WARNING: During operation, the warming plate, brewing arm, filter basket, and carafe will get hot. Only touch the these parts by the operating elements and handles to avoid scalds. Do not touch the warming plate or place any heat-sensitive objects on the warming plate during operation and some time thereafter. Do not place the hot carafe on any heat-sensitive surfaces or on very cold surfaces to avoid damage. note: You can cancel or interrupt operation at any time you like by pressing the ON/ OFF button (see: "Interrupting or Cancelling Operation"). However, keep in mind that water could still be within the filter basket and drip. WARNING: Even with the drip stop valve closed, do not leave the appliance operate for more than a few seconds without any container placed below the filter basket. Otherwise hot liquid could run out, causing high risk of injuries and damage. Do not hold your hands and arms below the filter basket with the appliance still hot. Only SLOWLY slide the drip speed control to the left side of the appliance for increasing the drip speed, with the filter basket filled up with water (e. After pouring a cup of coffee prematurely or operating the appliance on a very low drip speed), . Otherwise, the coffee could flow too quickly, splashing and running out at the exterior of the carafe. CAUTION: With water still in the water tank and even with the drip stop valve closed (drip speed control at position "Drip stop"), do not leave the appliance operating for more than 15 seconds without any suitable container on the warming plate!Otherwise, the filter basket could overflow and coffee could run out unexpectedly. Additionally coffee powder will be flushed into your coffee via the overflow opening in the filter basket. Always ensure that an appropriate container is placed on the warming plate, when closing the drip stop valve for more than a few seconds. If you wish to pour a cup of coffee prematurely, first slide the drip speed control completely to the right to the "Drip stop" position, thus closing the drip stop valve. Pour your coffee, and at the latest after 15 seconds replace the carafe onto the warming plate. [. . . ] Important: Do not use any parts or accessories of the appliance for any other purpose than operating the appliance. It is good advice to store the parts and accessories of the appliance with the appliance. nOTES FOR DISPOSAL Dispose of the appliance and packaging must be effected in accordance with the corresponding local regulations and requirements for electrical appliances and packaging. Do not dispose of electrical appliances as unsorted municipal waste, use separate collection facilities. [. . . ]
