Now it's time to consider how you can maximize the fun and excitement your equipment offers. This manufacturer and the Electronic Industries Association's Consumer Electronics Group want you to get the most out of your equipment by playing it at a safe level. One that lets the sound come through loud and clear without annoying blaring or distortion and, most importantly, without affecting your sensitive hearing. You need to replace all the exhausted batteries at the same time as soon as possible to avoid battery leakage. Select your desired radio band using the BAND SELECTOR for AM/FM or FM Stereo. Rotate the TUNING KNOB to your desired radio station according to the dial scale on the knob. To turn off the radio, slide the FUNCTION SWITCH to "AUX (OFF)". 1. 5. TIPS FOR BEST RECEPTION AM ­ The AM antenna is located inside the cabinet of the main unit. If AM reception is weak, change the position of cabinet until the internal antenna picks up the strongest signal, FM ­ During FM reception, always keep the FM Telescopic Antenna fully extended. If FM reception is still weak try repositioning the unit near an open window until you get the best reception. AUXILIARY INPUT (AUX) OPERATION You can play other music sources (iPod, MP3 player or other digital audio players) through the speakers of this system. Plug one end of an appropriate audio cable (not included) into the AUX IN Jack of this unit and the other end to the line out or headphone jack of your digital audio player. Start playing your digital audio player and gradually increase the volume output (if necessary) until a clear, undistorted sound is heard from the speakers of this unit. Adjust the VOLUME CONTROL until you reach a comfortable listening level. To stop auxiliary input function, simply remove the line in cable from the AUX IN JACK.
