[. . . ] ⷠNever immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid for any reason whatsoever. ⷠIt is absolutely necessary to keep this appliance clean at all times as it comes into contact with food. ⷠBefore cleaning, always unplug the appliance from the power supply and wait until it has totally cooled down. [. . . ] Persons (including children) who are not capable of using the appliance safely, either because of their physical, sensory or mental abilities, or because of their lack of experience or knowledge, may under no circumstances use the appliance without supervision or instructions from a responsible person · These appliances are not designed to be activated using an external timer or a separate remote control system. (*) Competent qualified service: after sales department of the producer or importer or any person who is qualified, approved and competent to perform this kind of repairs in order to avoid all danger. A short power supply cord is provided to reduce the risk resulting from becoming entangled in, or tripping over a longer cord. ⷠThe electrical rating of the extension cord should be at least that of the appliance. If the electrical rating of the extension cord is too low, it could overheat and burn. The longer cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the counter top or tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over. Make sure the switch is in off position (0) and the appliance is unplugged. ⷠPut the metallic centre receptacle on the axis of the appliance making sure that the groove of the receptacle's stem fits onto the pegs of the axis (fig. 3, page 3) making sure that the tabs on the plastic receptacle fit under the metal tabs of the motor block. To check if the receptacle is correctly locked, it should be possible to raise the appliance by holding the receptacle, without the motor block detaching itself. Before switching on the appliance, it is necessary to make holders to collect the cotton candy. To do so, make a cone out of a sheet of paper (supplied) and fix the cone with a piece of tape so that it cannot unfold. Put the switch in on position (1) and let the appliance ope rate empty for 5 minutes so that it can warm up. ⷠSwitch off the appliance and wait until the metallic centre receptacle stops rotating. ⷠFill the measuring spoon supplied with sugar and pour the sugar in the middle of the centre receptacle. After a few minutes, the cotton candy maker will spin the sugar into a flossy sweet thread that you collect on the paper cone. [. . . ] In order to preserve our environment and protect human health, the waste electrical and electronic equipment should be disposed of in accordance with specific rules with the implication of both suppliers and users. For this reason, as indicated by the symbol on the rating label, your appliance should not be disposed of as unsorted municipal waste but should either be returned to the vendor, or disposed of in a separate collection point performing waste recovery by means of reuse, recycling or use for other applications. Unplug the appliance and wait until it has totally cooled down before cleaning. [. . . ]
