Adjustable-height feet 10 Safety instructions and warnings · To prevent injury or damage to the unit, the appliance should be unpacked and set up by two people. Setting up GB · In the event that the appliance is damaged on delivery, contact the supplier immediately before connecting to the mains. · To guarantee safe operation, ensure that the appliance is set up and connected as described in these operating instructions. · Disconnect the appliance from the mains if any fault occurs. · When disconnecting the appliance, pull on the plug, not on the cable. · Any repairs and work on the appliance should only be carried out by the customer service department, as unauthorised work could prove highly dangerous for the user. The same applies to changing the mains power cable. · Do not allow naked flames or ignition sources to enter the appliance. [. . . ] · Allow hot food to cool to room temperature before storing it in the appliance. · Press the SuperFrost button 7. · The automatic SuperFrost system automatically switches the fast freezing procedure off after 65 hours. - when placing frozen food in the freezer; - when freezing up to approx. 2 kg fresh food daily. By activating the SuperFrost function the temperature in the freezer compartment will drop to the lowest attainable value. Thus food can be rapidly frozen to the core and the quality is preserved. You should not switch on the SuperFrost function: Freezing chart Cooling with fan This is recommended: - in high room temperatures (approx. during the summer). With the fan function switched on, a uniform temperature distribution will be attained in the refrigerator compartment. To switch on Press the fan button 2 - the LED in the button will come on. The freezing chart represents the frozen food and the time it can be safely stored in months. It will only make ice cubes if the freezer compartment is operating. · Pull out the drawer. Note: The ice maker can only make ice cubes if the drawer is completely closed. Safety instructions and warnings for the automatic ice maker · The ice maker is designed exclusively to make ice cubes in quantities required by a household. · The water tank must be filled with cold drinking water or sparkling drinking water (mineral water, soda water) only. Important If you do not need any ice cubes, the ice maker can be switched off independently of the freezer compartment. Note: If the ice maker is switched off, the empty drawer can also be used to freeze and store food. To switch off: · The water quality must comply with the drinking water directives of the country in which the appliance is used. · All repairs and work on the ice maker may only be carried out by customer service personnel or other trained personnel. This applies both to using the appliance for the first time and also to using it after it has not been used for a lengthy period of time. Do not fill with any kind of alcoholic drinks or sugary liquids. This will damage the ice maker. During operation, the ice maker produces pumping and injection noises, which cannot be avoided. To make ice cubes After you start the ice maker for the first time it may take up to 24 hours before the first ice cubes are ready. Please note that the first three batches of ice must not be consumed or used. The production capacity depends on the temperature inside the freezer compartment. The lower the temperature, the more ice can be produced over a period of time. Filling the water tank The water for the ice maker is supplied from a water tank in the refrigerator compartment (see "Description of appliance and equipment" - page 10). This must be filled with water before the ice maker is switched on. 1. Open the front flap and fill the water tank while still in the appliance with water using a jug or bottle. If you require a large quantity of ice you can swap the drawer to the right with the full "IceMaker" drawer. When you close the drawer the ice maker will immediately start production. The ice cubes fall out of the ice maker into the drawer. When the ice reaches a certain level in the drawer, the appliance stops producing ice automatically. Defrosting 2. The water tank can also be removed completely to be filled with water. Reinsert the water tank and slide into the holder as far as it will go. Refrigerator compartment Important If the water tank has not been slid right to the back, no ice cubes will be produced. Freezer compartment The refrigerator compartment defrosts automatically. [. . . ] 50 mm must be provided on the hinge side between the appliance and the wall (for the handle when the door is open).
