[. . . ] · In the event that the appliance is damaged on delivery, contact the supplier immediately before connecting to the mains. · To guarantee safe operation, ensure that the appliance is set up and connected as described in these operating instructions. [. . . ] · Always ensure that there is good ventilation and that the outward flowing air is able to escape. · Standard EN 378 specifies that the room in which you install your appliance must have a volume of 1 m3 per 8 g of R 600a refrigerant used in the appliance, so as to avoid the formation of inflammable gas/air mixtures in the room where the appliance is located in the event of a leak in the refrigerant circuit. The quantity of refrigerant used in your appliance is indicated on the type plate on the inside of the appliance. · Do not connect the appliance to the supply with other equipment using an extension cable - risk of overheating. Setting up GB Dimensions A=1644 mm Power supply (a. c. ) and voltage at the operating point must comply with the details on the type plate. The socket must be fused with a 10 A fuse or higher, it must be away from the rear of the appliance and must be easily accessible. Connect the appliance with a properly earthed fused plug and socket only. Connecting to the mains - Always ensure good ventilation. - Do not place appliance in areas of direct sunlight or next to a stove, heater or similar object. - Keep the time the appliance is open to a minimum. Saving energy Accumulated dust increases the energy consumption: - Once a year, dust the refrigerating unit together with the metal grille of the heat exchanger at the back of the appliance. To switch the appliance on: Connect the appliance to the mains - the appliance is switched on. You are recommended to clean the appliance before switching it on for the first time (see Cleaning). Switching the appliance on and off To switch the appliance off: Pull out the mains plug or set the temperature control to 0. Using a coin, turn the arrow on the temperature control to a setting between 0 und max. = highest cooling setting, cold Setting the temperature 9 If you change the setting on the temperature control, the temperature will only change in the bottom four compartments. If the temperature control is set lower (3, 5 - max. ), the lower compartments will be cooler. The wine cooler enables you to bring your wines gradually and evenly to the right temperature for drinking in 6 different temperature zones. The table on the left indicates the temperature settings in each compartment, which are pre-set in the factory. The appliance is delivered with the grid shelves in the right positions to achieve these temperatures. Cooling wine The way in which wines continue to mature depends on the ambient conditions. Turn it 90° to the left or right until it clicks into place. Air exchange with activated charcoal filter You can use the bottom compartments for storing wines for long periods of time. The following graphs indicate the settings you should use for this and other uses.
