With the entirely automatic Robot Café, you will rapidly master the art of making genuine espresso, cappuccino or filter coffee. Your Robot Café Is equipped with : · a powerful 15-bar pump : for creamy coffee. · a system for pre-brewing the ground coffee : to bring out the full flavour. It also allows you to adjust the following : · the amount of water per cup : for a large or small coffee (p. 54). · the fineness of the grind : according to the degree of roasting (p. 54). [. . . ] NB : Experiment a few times to find the ideal setting. 54 One or two cups ? · Check that the machine is ready ( ). The coffee will start to flow and automatically stop once it has reached the preselected volume while the coffee is flowing. NB : the coffee will flow in two stages, as your Robot Café is equipped with a pre-brewing system designed to bring out the full flavour of the coffee. 1 cup 2 cups A strong or extra-strong espresso ? If you are just making one cup of espresso, you can vary its strength. · Press the button (the grinder will start up) and keep pressing it : - Approx. NB : if you wish to make another cup of strong or extra-strong espresso, you must repeat these steps. NB : You cannot make 2 cups of strong or extra-strong espresso at the same time. · Check that the machine is ready ( ). 2 sec. 3 sec. Ground coffee . · Press the button NB : Once the button for Ground coffee has been pressed, it is unchangeable. · Open the lid of the ground coffee compartment and put the ground coffee in, using the measuring spoon. The coffee will start to flow and automatically stop at the preselected volume while the coffee is flowing. 55 English Using the nozzle The nozzle is used to froth milk for cappuccinos and hot chocolate, as well as to heat liquids. You can also make hot water for teas and infusions or preheat your cups. Steam · Check that the machine is ready ( · Slide the steam pipe : - Up : to heat liquids. a small jug) with the liquid you wish to heat (1/3 full for milk and 2/3 full for other liquids) and place it under the nozzle. · Lower the steam nozzle into the container and turn the hot water /steam selector towards as far as it will go. Wipe the inside (accessible once the grid has been removed) with a damp sponge. When replacing the drip tray back into the base of the coffee machine, ensure that the tray feet are inside the drip tray, not the out side. · The machine housing : Regularly clean the outer surfaces of the appliance with a damp sponge.
