[. . . ] When the phone has been idle for this specified time, the screen saver animation will automatically turn on. When you select this option, you will be prompted to enter a value between 1 and 5, which represents the idle time in minutes. Download a New Screen Saver Animation To download a new animation, scroll to an empty location under the Animation submenu and press + (Option). The following options are displayed: Download Select this option to download a new screen saver animation. After you select this option, your browser connects to the Web address in the Setup URL option (below). Setup URL Select this option to set up the URL (Uniform Resource Locator) for downloading a screen saver animation. After you select this option, you are prompted to enter a valid Web address or URL. 84 Using Your Phone's Menus When you are on the desired site, select and download the desired screen saver to your phone. Screen Saver Setting This option allows you to set up the screen saver animation displayed if your phone is idle for a specified amount of time. (See "Screen Saver Setting" on page 84. ) Wallpaper Wallpaper is a pattern or picture that is stored on your phone and can be set to be used as the screen background for the idle display. Your phone contains five predefined wallpapers and five empty locations for storing downloaded wallpapers. When you select the Wallpaper submenu, your phone displays a list of the five predefined wallpapers and the five empty locations. A checkmark to the left of a wallpaper indicates that the wallpaper is currently activated. When you scroll to a wallpaper and press + (Option), the following options are displayed: Preview Preview the selected wallpaper. 85 Set as Wallpaper Using Your Phone's Menus Set Layout Choose from center or tile layout. This option is available only for the current wallpaper in use. Download New Wallpaper 1 Scroll to one of the empty wallpaper locations and press + (Option). 2 Select Download to display these options Default User defined Download wallpaper from the default Web address. When you select this option, you are prompted to enter a valid Web address or URL. Your browser connects to that address. 3 When you are on the specified site, select and download the desired wallpaper to your phone. You can also delete it. 86 Using Your Phone's Menus The Messages Menu This menu allows you to adjust the message settings and view or manage the various types of messages your phone can receive and/or send. Your phone supports three GSM messaging features: SMS, EMS, and Cell Broadcast. SMS and EMS Messages The Short Message Service (SMS) allows you to send and receive short text messages. The Enhanced Message Service (EMS) allows you to send and receive text messages with icons, animations, and ringtones. Notes: · The recipient's phone may be unable to display the pictures or play the sounds inserted into your message. · You cannot send messages with pictures or sounds to an email address.
