[. . . ] Mount the sensor. Feature Locator Battery installation 1 2 Discovery Button 3 AA AA Installation Hints Please consider the following points when mounting the sensor: · · · The sensor must be aimed so that it does not directly face the sun or any bright light to avoid causing damage to the sensor. The Motorola Wireless Motion Sensor is constructed of UV-resistant ABS plastic. Do not install the sensor where it is subjected directly to the elements. This device's communication range is up to 60 feet from the Wireless System Controller in a typical home, depending on the number of obstacles. [. . . ] By positioning it in area ahead of the motion sensor built into the video camera, the Wireless Motion Sensor can trigger an event ahead of time to have the video recorder capture the event in its entirety. Keep in mind that the survey field of the WMS is 90 degrees when you position it in relation to your video camera. Try not to have the WMS aimed directly in front of where the events will typically take place, but rather to the side or angled so as to include as much of the area in its sweep as possible. 6 Regulatory Information CAUTION: Changes or modifications not expressly approved by Motorola for compliance could void the user's authority to operate the equipment.
