The message centre lets you compose text messages. Entering Text Some features require you to enter information. Selecting a Text Entry Mode Multiple text entry modes make it easy for you to enter names, numbers, and messages. W = numeric mode [ = symbol mode Using iTAP® Mode iTAP mode lets you enter words using one keypress per letter. The iTAP software combines your keypresses into common words, and predicts each word as you enter it. The iTAP software recognises that the most common word formed by this keypress combination is "WKH, " and predicts that "WKH" is the word you are spelling. Other common words or word fragments that can be spelled by the same keypress combination are presented as alternate choices at the bottom of the display. If L7$3 mode is not set as the 3ULPDU\ or 6HFRQGDU\ entry mode, see page 48. Using Capitalisation Press 0 in a text entry screen to change text case. If you want a different word (such as 3URJUHVV), continue pressing keypad keys to enter the remaining characters. Entering Novel Words in iTAP Mode You may enter a word that the iTAP software does not recognise. If your word is not shown as a letter combination choice at the bottom of the display: Action 1 Press '(/(7( (-) one or more times to delete letters, until you see a letter combination at the bottom of the display that matches the start of the word you want to enter. 4 Continue to enter letters and select letter combinations to spell the word. Your phone automatically stores the novel word and displays it as an option the next time you enter its letter combination.
