[. . . ] To tighten Reverse the order of the above steps to remove the MB-D100. When attaching or removing the MB-D100, be sure the camera is off and that the MB-D100 control lock is in the locked position. â· When attaching a PB-6 bellows focusing attachment (available separately) to the D100, use the PB-6D and PK-13 auto-extension ring. [. . . ] When inserting LR6 (AA) batteries into the MS-D100 holder, insert them on an angle as shown in the illustration. When photographs are deleted using the Delete > Selected or Delete > All options in the playback menu, the associated voice memos will also be deleted. â· Do not use the MB-D100 with batteries of types not described in this manual. â· In the unlikely event that a problem should occur in the operation of this device, discontinue use immediately and take the equipment to a Nikon authorized service center or technician for inspection and repair. â· A short-circuit will result if the power terminals are brought into contact with metal objects. When inserting the MS-D100 holder into the MB-D100, first use the holder to hold the right- side clip in the open position as shown in the illustration, then insert the holder into the battery pack. The voice memo record/playback button (item 10 in Figure 1) is used for both recording and playback. The function performed depends on whether a recording already exists for the photograph displayed in the monitor (or, if no photographs are displayed in the monitor, whether a recording exists for the most recent photograph). During Recording While voice memos are being recorded, the voice memo record/playback lamp will glow orange and a (recording) icon will be displayed in the camera monitor. After Recording When recording is complete, the voice memo record/playback lamp will go out, and a (voice memo) icon will be displayed in the camera monitor. Before recording a voice memo, make sure that no memo already exists for the photograph on display. If a voice memo already exists, you will have to delete it before you will be able to record a new memo (see "Deleting Voice Memos"). If the monitor is off, a voice memo will be created for the most recent photograph on the camera memory card. While the voice memo record/playback button on the MBD100 is pressed, the voice memo record/playback lamp will glow orange*. To record a memo of one to twenty seconds in length, speak into the built-in microphone (note that the input volume for the built-in microphone can not be adjusted). [. . . ] To play a voice memo back, display the associated photograph in the monitor (photographs with voice memos are marked by a icon). If the monitor is off, the recording for the most recent photograph on the camera memory card will be played back. While playback is in progress, the voice memo record/playback lamp will glow green.
