[. . . ] Please read the User's Guide carefully before use to ensure you get the best out of your new thermometer. - INTRODUCTION Thank you for your purchase of this Electronic Thermometer. Your Electronic Thermometer is an example of superior design and craftsmanship. [. . . ] Press the [ MAX ] button once again, the current temperature appear on the display. GENERAL OPERATION This Thermometer will either measure and display indoor and outdoor current temperature or it can be set to display the maximum or minimum temperature recorded. Note: When the outdoor temperature is outside the measuring range, LLL appears on the display( below - 50°C / 58°F ) or HHH appears on the display ( above +70°C / +158°F ). When the indoor temperature is outside the operating range, fades out on the display ( below 0°C / +32°F ) or blacks out on the display ( above +50°C / +122°F ). 3 HOW TO RESET THE MAXIMUM OR MINIMUM TEMPERATURE MEMORIES 1. Press the [ RESET ] button once, to clear the minimum or maximum temperature recorded, then full display segments will show for about 3 seconds. The current temperature returns to display and such readings will update as the minimum and maximum temperature. THE RESET BUTTON If the unit does not operate properly, use a pointed object to push the [ RESET ] button once, which is located in the front panel. Note: After resetting the unit, the minimum and maximum temperature recorded will be reset. HOW TO SELECT THE TEMPERATURE UNITS OF MEASURE The switch on the back of the thermometer selects between degrees Celsius and Fahrenheit. Note: Press the [ RESET ] button once, after the temperature units of measure changed to degrees Celsius or Fahrenheit. After resetting the unit, the minimum and maximum temperature recorded will be reset. 4 SECURING THE OUTDOOR SENSOR PROBE Follow these steps to secure the outdoor sensor probe : 1. Drive a screw (not included ) into the wall at the location you choose for the sensor. Route the outdoor sensor cord ( 10 feet ) through the window. Such treatment may result in malfunction, a shorter electronic life span, damaged batteries, or distorted parts. Doing so will terminate the unit's warranty and may cause damage. Read this instruction manual thoroughly before operating the unit. Note: Locate the outdoor sensor probe away from direct sun light and heavy precipitation. FREE STAND AND WALL MOUNTING Stand: Flip out the plastic stand on the rear of the Thermometer for table standing. Wall Mount: You can mount your Thermometer on a wall by using a screw (not included) with the screw head extending about 3. 5 mm from the wall.
