[. . . ] Installation suggestions for Oregon Scientific Pro Weather Stations Including models: WMR112, WMR928NX · Anemometer (wind gauge) The anemometer consists of a solar powered data transmitter and a wind vane (direction) and cup anemometer (speed). [. . . ] The unit should be mounted level to maintain accurate readings ­ one of best positions is in the middle of the yard on a fence post or some raised location off the ground to prevent accidental damage. Positioned at the end of most back yards should not cause too much of an issue with range, just ensure the receiver main unit is on the same side of the house as walls and windows reduce the range. Thermo/Hygrometer (WMR928NX only) The thermo/hygrometer consists of a solar powered data transmitter and a thermo/hygrometer sensor (looks like a microphone). The ideal positioning for this sensor is on the wall or post mounted above ground level, but with a good air circulation and in the shade ­ ambient temperature and humidity readings are always measured in the shade. Positioned at the end of most back yards should not cause too much of an issue with range, just ensure the receiver main unit is on the same side of the house as walls and windows reduce the range. · · · Thermo/Hygrometer (WMR112 only) The thermo/hygrometer consists of a single battery powered sensor. The ideal positioning for this sensor is on the wall or post mounted above ground level, but with a good air circulation and in the shade ­ ambient temperature and humidity readings are always measured in the shade. Positioned on the verandah or balcony in the shade is a good spot for this sensor, just ensure the receiver main unit is on the same side of the house as walls and windows reduce the range. Thermo/Hygro/Barometer The thermo/hygro/barometer consists of a battery powered sensor with LCD screen depicting weather forecast, actual barometric pressure, temperature and humidity.
