[. . . ] The Remote Thermo Sensor is used with the 433MHz Multi-Channel In-Out Thermometer (Model: EMR812, EMR899, RMR112 or BAR888) to monitor temperature changes of remote or outdoor sites. Operation is easy and no wire installation is required. HOW TO USE THE TABLE STAND OR WALL MOUNT This sensor comes with a wall-mount holder and a removable stand. Use either to set up the unit. This equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. [. . . ] Place the main unit as close as possible next to the remote unit, and reset the main unit after installing batteries. This will ensure easier synchronization between the transmission and reception of signals. Position the remote unit and main unit within effective transmission range, which, in usual circumstances, is 66 to 98 feet (20 to 30 meters). Note that the effective range is vastly affected by the building materials and where the main and remote units are positioned. Though the sensor is weather proof and meant to be used outdoors, it should be placed away from direct sunlight, rain or snow. is in conformity with Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions: 1) This device may not cause harmful interference. 2) This device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation. Replace the battery compartment door and secure its screws. -- ABOUT OREGON SCIENTIFIC Standard Alkaline batteries contain signifcant amounts of water. Because of this they will freeze in low temperatures of approximately 10°F. Disposable Lithium batteries have a much lower threshold for temperature with an estimated freezing range of below -40°F. The Liquid Crystal Display in outdoor thermometers will remain operational to -20°F with adequate power. [. . . ] NOTE This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. OPERATION Once batteries are in place, the sensor will start transmitting samplings at 30-second intervals. The current temperature will be shown on the LCD in the selected unit (°C/°F) at the designated channel. [. . . ]
