About the recording format for recording motion pictures
You can select from AVCHD, 1080/50p or iFrame recording formats to record motion pictures using this unit. (l 41, 52) AVCHD: You can record high definition quality images with this format. It is suitable for viewing on a large format TV or for saving to disc. 1080/50p: This is a 1080/50p (1920k1080/50 progressive) recording mode that can record in maximum quality*. [. . . ] The more picture is enlarged, the more its quality deteriorates.
Zooming out from the zoomed still picture
Touch Touch to zoom out. (k4 # k2 # k1) to return to normal playback (k1).
You can also perform zoom operations using the zoom lever.

Various playback functions
Playing back motion pictures/still pictures by date
The scenes or the still pictures recorded on the same day can be played back in succession.

Touch the playback date. Touch the scene or the still picture to be played back.
The scenes or the still pictures recorded on the date selected are displayed as thumbnails.
Playing back of all the scenes or the still pictures returns if the unit is turned off or the mode is changed. Even if AVCHD scenes are recorded on the same day, they are grouped separately when the number of scenes exceeds 99. Even if AVCHD scenes or 1080/50p scenes are recorded on the same day, they are grouped separately whenever the AVCHD recording and 1080/50p recording are switched. Even if iFrame scenes are recorded on the same day, they are grouped separately in the following cases. j When the number of scenes exceeds 99 j When [NUMBER RESET] is performed Even if still pictures are recorded on the same day, they are grouped separately in the following cases. j When the number of still pictures exceeds 999 j When pictures are recorded in hi-speed burst shooting mode ( is indicated after the date in the list by date). j When [NUMBER RESET] is performed is displayed after the date in the list by date for the still pictures created from the motion picture. Highlight playback
Part that was recognised as clearly recorded is extracted from a long recording, and it can be played back in a short time with effects and music added. Highlight playback cannot be used for iFrame scenes.

Touch [START].
When the [SCENE SETUP] is not changed in step 2, it will play back with the last recorded date.
Select the playback operation. (l 27, 72)
When the playback is finished or stopped, the screen to select [REPLAY], [SELECT AGAIN] or [EXIT] is displayed. Playing back of all the scenes returns if the unit is turned off or the mode is changed. Slow-motion playback, frame-by-frame playback, and direct playback bar operation are not possible.
Scene setting
1 2 Touch [SELECT SCENES] or [SELECT DATE]. (When [SELECT SCENES] is selected) Touch the scenes to be played back.
Up to 99 scenes can be selected in succession. Touch the scene again to cancel the operation.
(When [SELECT DATE] is selected) Touch the date to be played back.
A maximum of 7 days can be selected. Touch the date again to cancel the operation.

Priority settings

Touch [FACE], any detected face, including the face of person registered for face recognition, is given priority on playback.
