Images taken using the Optio 330 that are for anything other than personal enjoyment cannot be used without permission according to the rights as specified in the Copyright Act. Please take care, as there are even cases where limitations are placed on taking pictures even for personal enjoyment during demonstrations, industrial enterprise or as items for display. Infinity-landscape mode This mode is used for taking distant objects. Manual Focus Mode The subject is brought into focus manually.
Taking Pictures

Press the button in Capture mode. The focus mode changes each time the button is pressed and the setting is displayed on the LCD monitor. The camera is ready to take the picture in the set focus mode.

The focus mode returns to [Auto] when the camera is turned off.
Caution
If you take a picture while looking through the viewfinder when the focus mode is set on Macro, the range of the resulting picture may differ from what was seen in the viewfinder.
Manual Focus
You can focus the camera on the subject manually when the mode is set on .

Selecting the Flash Mode
None Auto Flash Off Flash On Auto + Red-eye Reduction The flash discharges automatically depending on the light conditions. This mode reduces the phenomenon of red eyes caused by the light from the flash being reflected in the subject's eyes. The flash discharges automatically.
Taking Pictures
Flash On + This mode reduces the phenomenon of red eyes caused by the light from the flash being reflected in Red-eye Reduction the subject's eyes. The flash will discharge regardless of lighting conditions.
· The flash is off when the Capture mode is set to , continuous shooting, or infinity-landscape mode. · [Auto] and [Auto + Red-eye Reduction] cannot be selected when the Capture mode is set to . · In [Auto + Red-eye Reduction] and [Flash On + Red-eye Reduction] modes, the flash pre-discharges before you take a picture.

Adjusting the Color Balance according to Lighting (White Balance)
You can take pictures in the appropriate colors by setting the white balance according to the light conditions.
Auto/AUTO Auto The camera adjusts the white balance automatically. Use this mode when taking subjects under elec tric or other tungsten light. Use this mode when taking pictures by adjusting the white balance manually.
