Use Information on the use of the appliance and its accessories, cooking advice. Cleaning and maintenance Information for proper cleaning and maintenance of the appliance. [. . . ] Before carrying out a cooking process, preheat the oven in order to get optimal results. Moreover, during all cooking operations the oven door must be closed to enable the safety device to work properly. Advice for cooking meat • Cooking times vary according to the thickness and quality of the food and to consumer taste. • Use a meat thermometer when roasting meat, or simply press on the roast with a spoon. If it is hard, it is ready; if not, it needs another few minutes cooking. Advice for cooking with the Grill and the Fan-assisted grill • Meat can be grilled even when it is put into the cold oven or into the preheated oven if you wish to change the effect of the cooking. • With the Fan-assisted grill function, we recommend that you preheat the oven before grilling. Advice for cooking desserts and biscuits • Use dark metal moulds: they help to absorb the heat better. • The temperature and the cooking time depend on the quality and consistency of the dough. • To check whether the dessert is cooked right through: at the end of the cooking time, put a toothpick into the highest point of the dessert. If the dough does not stick to the toothpick, the dessert is cooked. 3. 5 Cooking advice General advice • Use a fan-assisted function to achieve uniform cooking at several levels. • It is not possible to shorten cooking times by increasing the temperature (the food could be overcooked on the outside and undercooked on the inside). 43 EN Use • If the dessert collapses when it comes out of the oven, on the next occasion reduce the set temperature by about 10°C, selecting a longer cooking time if necessary. Advice for defrosting and proving • Place frozen foods without their packaging in a lidless container on the first shelf of the oven. • To defrost meat, use the rack placed on the second level and a tray on the first level. In this way, the liquid from the defrosting food drains away from the food. • For successful proving, a container of water should be placed in the bottom of the oven. To save energy • Stop cooking a few minutes before the time normally used. Cooking will continue for the remaining minutes with the heat which has accumulated inside the oven. • Reduce any opening of the door to a minimum to avoid heat dispersal. • Keep the inside of the appliance clean at all times. 3. 6 Clock (on some models only) Setting the time To set the correct time, pull the knob A and turn it clockwise. 44 Use Cooking information table Weight Static Oven Runner position from Temperature Time (Kg) the bottom (°C) (minutes) 5 2. 5 2. 5 1. 2 3 1. 2 1. 5 1. 5 1 1 1. 5 1. 5 1. 5 1. 2 8 1. 3 1 1 1 1 1 1 1. 2 3 2 2 2 2 2 2 2 4 4 4 4 4 Rotisserie 2 2 2 4 3 3 2 3 3 230 - 240 220 - 230 220 - 230 200 - 210 200 - 210 210 - 220 200 - 210 200 - 210 Grill Grill Grill Grill Grill Grill 180 - 190 180 - 190 180 - 190 Grill 240 190 190 190 190 50 - 60 25 - 30 25 - 30 80 - 90 90 - 100 70 - 75 75 - 80 90 - 95 1st side 2nd side Fan-assisted Oven Temperature (°C) 230 - 240 220 - 230 220 - 230 200 - 210 200 - 210 200 - 210 200 - 210 200 - 210 Grill Grill Grill Grill Grill Grill 180 - 190 180 - 190 180 - 190 Grill 240 180 180 180 180 Time (minutes) 45 - 50 25 - 30 25 - 30 70 - 80 90 - 100 70 - 75 75 - 80 90 - 95 1st side 2nd side Food Lasagne Cannelloni Oven-baked pasta Roast chicken Turkey breast Pork loin Roast rabbit Lamb Pork chops Hamburgers Sausages Spare ribs Meat kebabs Chicken Mackerel Salmon trout Turbot Fish kebabs Pizza Biscuits Paradise cake Fruit tart Ring cake 15 11 15 15 11 80 8 7 5 5 10 15 11 15 15 11 70 8 7 5 5 5 25 - 30 35 - 40 25 - 30 7 3 25 - 30 35 - 40 25 - 30 7 5 12 - 15 18 50 - 55 35 - 40 45 - 50 12 - 15 18 55 - 60 35 - 40 50 - 55 The times indicated in the table do not include preheating times and are provided as a guide only. 45 EN Use Conversion table Weight Metric 15 g 25 g 40 g 50 g 75 g 100 g 150 g 175 g 200 g 225 g 250 g 275 g 350 g 375 g 400 g 425 g 450 g 550 g 675 g 750 g 900 g 1. 5 kg 1. 75 kg 2. 25 kg Imperial 1/2 oz 1 oz 1 1/2 oz 2 oz 3 oz 4 oz 5 oz 6 oz 7 oz 8 oz 9 oz 10 oz 12 oz 13 oz 14 oz 15 oz 1 lb 1 1/4 lb 1 1/2 lb 1 3/4 lb 2 lb 3 lb 4 lb 5 lb Measurement Metric 5 mm 1 cm 2. 5 cm 5 cm 7. 5 cm 10 cm 12. 5 cm 15 cm 18 cm 20 cm 23 cm 25 cm 30 cm Imperial 1/4 in 1/2 in 1 in 2 in 3 in 4 in 5 in 6 in 7 in 8 in 9 in 10 in 12 in Metric 25 ml 50 ml 85 ml 100 ml 150 ml 200 ml 300 ml 450 ml 600 ml 700 ml 900 ml 1l 1. 2 l 1. 25 l 1. 5 l 1. 6 l 1. 75 l 1. 8 l 2l 2. 1 l 2. 25 l 2. 75 l 3. 4 l 3. 9 l 5l Volume Imperial 1 fl oz 2 fl oz 3 fl oz 3 1/2 fl oz 5 fl oz (1/4 pint) 7 fl oz 10 fl oz (1/2 pint) 15 fl oz (3/4 pint) 1 pint 1 1/4 pint 1 1/2 pint 1 3/4 pint 2 pints 2 1/4 pints 2 1/2 pints 2 3/4 pints 3 pints 3 1/4 pints 3 1/2 pints 3 3/4 pints 4 pints 5 pints 6 pints 7 pints 8 pints (1 gallon) Temperature 140°C 150°C 160°C 180°C 190°C 200°C 220°C 230°C 240°C Fan 120°C Fan 130°C Fan 140°C Fan 160°C Fan 1720°C Fan 180°C Fan 200°C Fan 210°C Fan 220°C 275°F 300°F 325°F 350°F 375°F 400°F 425°F 450°F 475°F Gas 1 Gas 2 Gas 3 Gas 4 Gas 5 Gas 6 Gas 7 Gas 8 Gas 9 46 Cleaning and maintenance 4 Cleaning and maintenance 4. 1 Instructions Improper use Risk of damage to surfaces • Do not use steam jets for cleaning the appliance. • Do not use cleaning products containing chlorine, ammonia or bleach on steel parts or parts with metallic finishes on the surface (e. g. • Do not use abrasive or corrosive detergents on glass parts (e. g.
