If you have questions, please consult your local natural gas distributor or qualified service technician. 12 Gas Requirements INSTALLATION OF NATURAL GAS REGULATOR 1. GAS INSTALLATION Frigidaire Gas Grills that are set to operate with L. P. (Note: Only use the pressure regulator and hose assembly supplied with the grill or a replacement pressure regulator and hose assemblies specified by Frigidaire). cylinders can be purchased separately at an independent dealer. Shutoff Valve Collar LP hose/ regulator supplied with grill. (Type 1 connector) Ensure that the black plastic grommets on the L. P. cylinder valve are in place and that the hose does not come into contact with the grease tray or the grill head. The cylinder used must include a collar to protect the cylinder valve. The device shuts off the flow of gas to a cylinder after 80% capacity is reached. Turn on the burner control knobs for a moment to release the pressure in the hose, then turn the control knobs back off. Check all gas supply fittings before each use and each time the gas supply cylinder is connected to the regulator. Turn the control knobs to the "OFF" position when not in use. Fig. If the burner will not light after several attempts then the burner can be match lit. If you have already attempted to light the burner with the igniter, allow 5 minutes for any accumulated gas to dissipate. Insert a lit extended match or lighter through the cooking grids to the burner. Press the control knob and rotate left to the "HIGH" setting, and continue to press the knob until the burner ignites. Burner should light immediately; quickly remove your hand to avoid getting burned. If the burner does not light in 4 seconds, turn the knob off, wait 5 minutes and try again. 18 Using the Grill GRILL LOCATION Do not use the grill in garages, breezeways, sheds or any enclosed areas or under overhead combustible construction. Never operate the grill in enclosed areas as this could lead to a carbon monoxide buildup, which could result in injury or death.
