OFF*: The EFFECT function does not work. See page 43 Note EASY SEARCH When playing back messages using a built-in speaker, the EFFECT function does not work. Sets the easy search function. ON: You can go forward for about 10 seconds by pressing and go back for about 3 seconds by pressing . This function is useful when attempting to locate desired point in a long recording. Before attempting to move a message, select the message to be moved and then go to the menu window. ON: To set the alarm, select "ON" and set the date, time or day of the week or choose daily for playback. OFF*: The alarm is cancelled. Press /MENU to return to the folder window before erasing the messages and select a folder from which all messages are to be erased, and then go to the menu window and select "EXECUTE. " The selected message will be erased. Before erasing the message, select a message to be erased, and then go to the menu window and select "EXECUTE. " The IC recorder enters FM radio mode. DX* : When the receiving signal is strong enough to receive, select this setting. LOCAL : When the receiving signal is weak to receive, select this setting. AUDIO OUTPUT** During FM reception or FM recording, you can switch between the sound from the speaker and the sound from the headphones. When set to "ON, " the IC recorder enters the recording pause mode when no sound is detected for more than 2 seconds, and the IC recorder starts recording again as a new message when any sound is detected.
