The unit is not disconnected from the AC power source (mains) as long as it is connected to the wall outlet, even if the unit itself has been turned off. Do not install the appliance in a confined space, such as a bookcase or built-in cabinet. Do not expose the batteries (battery pack or batteries installed) to excessive heat such as sunshine, fire or the like for a long time. [. . . ] Press  (Play/Pause) to start Program Play. The screen returns to the “Program” display. 20GB Basic Operations To listen to audio files in a folder in random order (Folder Shuffle Play) (MP3/WMA only) Press MODE repeatedly until the desired playback method appears while an MP3/ WMA is not playing. Each time you press the button, the mode changes as follows: All files in selected folder are played back from first to last. (page 19) To listen to a folder repeatedly (Folder repeat play) After setting Folder playback or Folder shuffle playback, press REPEAT repeatedly until the desired play mode is displayed. Basic Operations 21GB Listening to the radio Before listening to the radio, connect the AC power cord (page 11), and the AM Loop Antenna (pages 22 and 23). Display window 1 Press RADIO FM/AM (direct poweron). To switch RDS (Radio Data System) display information When you tune in a station that provides RDS (Radio Data System) services, the following information appears in the display. Station name PS (Program Service) 2 3 Press RADIO FM/AM to select the band. Hold down TUNE () + or – () on the unit until the frequency digits begin to change in the display. The unit automatically scans the radio frequencies and stops when it finds a clear station. If you cannot tune in a station, press TUNE () + or – () on the unit repeatedly to change the frequency step by step. (“XXXXXXXX” is the station name. ) Press DISPLAY twice to switch to the following information: Program information RT (Radio Text) “No text” is displayed if no program information is received. To improve radio reception Reorient the antenna to improve FM reception. Reorient the unit itself to improve AM reception (Internal antenna). 22GB Basic Operations To listen to AM radio (External antenna) If reception is poor, even after changing the orientation of the unit, install the AM loop antenna (supplied). . 1 Press SD/USB (direct power-on). Basic Operations Go back to the . previous MP3/ WMA/AAC file Select a folder Reinforce the bass sound /TUNE + or –. 2 Press  until “Common Settings” appears, then press ENTER. 3 Press  until “MEGA BASS” appears, then press ENTER. 4 Press  until “ON” or “OFF” appears, then press ENTER. Turn the volume knob clockwise to increase the volume, or counter-clockwise to decrease the volume. Push the SD card in, then pull it out of the SD card slot. 2 3 Press SD/USB to select USB. Do not pull out the USB device while “Loading” is displayed. Adjust the volume Pull out the SD card Notes  Do not remove an SD card while “Loading” is displayed.  If the unit does not recognize an SD card, remove the SD card and insert it again.  Do not insert anything other than an SD card (such as liquid, metal, combustible material, etc. ) into the SD card slot. It may cause a fire, an electric shock, or a malfunction. Playback may take some time to start, depending on the number of audio files/ folders on the USB device. (Continued) Basic Operations 27GB 4 Press  (Play/Pause). [. . . ] Supported formats are as follows:  Audio file: MP3/WMA/AAC format  The WMA file is created in WMA DRM/WMA Lossless/WMA PRO format.  A copy-protected AAC file and AAC Lossless formatted AAC file cannot be played on the unit.  An AAC file containing something other than sound or more than one sound track, cannot be played on the unit.  The maximum hierarchy (Folder level) that the unit can recognize is exceeded.
