Detailed instructions for use are in the User's Guide.
[. . . ] As you enjoy your new TV/monitor, keep these safety tips in mind:
NOTE: THIS MONITOR DOES NOT CONTAIN A TUNER.
A set-top box (i. e. , an analog or digital receiver/tuner, cable box, or satellite receiver) is required to receive analog or digital antenna broadcast, cable, or satellite signals. For more information, refer to the applicable connection instructions in this owner's manual.
The Issue
If you are like most consumers, you have a TV/monitor in your home. The home theater entertainment experience is a growing trend, and larger TVs/monitors are popular purchases; however, they are not always supported on the proper TV/monitor stands. Sometimes TVs/monitors are improperly secured or inappropriately situated on dressers, bookcases, shelves, desks, audio speakers, chests, or carts. [. . . ] If, after trying all listed codes, the necessary keys do not operate your device, use the device's original remote control.

3. · The PICTURE SIZE feature is not available for some program formats (such as 720p). · If you select TheaterWide 2 or 3, the top and bottom edges of the picture may be hidden. To see the hidden edges, either scroll the picture (see page 29) or try viewing the program in Full picture size.
TheaterWide 1 picture size example
TheaterWide 2 picture size (For letter box programs) · The entire picture is uniformly enlarged--it is stretched the same amount both wider and taller (retains its original proportion). To view the hidden areas, see "Scrolling the TheaterWide® picture" on page 29.

NOTICE OF POSSIBLE ADVERSE EFFECTS ON MONITOR PICTURE DISPLAY
Avoid displaying stationary images on your monitor screen for extended periods of time. Fixed (non-moving) patterns or images (including but not limited to PIP/ POP windows, closed captions, video game patterns, TV station logos (from VCR, etc. ), stock tickers, websites, and special formats that do not use the entire screen) can become permanently ingrained in the cathode ray tube(s) of the monitor and cause subtle but permanent ghost images. See item 33 on page 4 for details.

TheaterWide 2 picture size example
TheaterWide 3 picture size (For letter box programs with subtitles) · The picture is non-uniformly enlarged--it is stretched wider to fill the width of the screen, but only slightly stretched taller. To view the hidden areas (such as subtitles or captions), see "Scrolling the TheaterWide® picture" on page 29.
