The insert can also be removed to provide room for large items such as a turkey and casseroles. The insert can also be used on the counter as a cooling rack. Ask for Part Number 4396927. May need to increase baking time. To Use Racks: 1. Place a full rack on position 1 or 2, and the split-rack on position 3 or 4. Place shallow dishes on the split-rack. May need to reduce baking temperatures 25°F (15°C). 11 Meat Thermometer On models without a temperature probe, use a meat thermometer to determine doneness of meat, poultry and fish. The internal temperature, not appearance, should be used to determine doneness. Insert the thermometer into the center of the thickest portion of the meat or inner thigh or breast of poultry. The bottom of the pan may be lined with aluminum foil for easier cleaning. Drippings will bake on the pan if left in the heated oven, making cleaning more difficult. Position food on grid in the broiler pan, then place it in the center of the oven rack. Close the door to the broil stop position to ensure proper broiling temperature. 12 To Broil: 1. The temperature setting can be changed any time before or after pressing START/ENTER. If broiling while the time is counting down, the set broiling temperature can be seen for 5 seconds by pressing CUSTOM BROIL. Press OFF/CANCEL when finished.
