WARNING: When using the dishwasher, follow basic precautions, including the following:

Read all instructions before using the dishwasher. Use only detergents or rinse agents recommended for use in a dishwasher, and keep them out of the reach of children. When loading items to be washed: 1) Locate sharp items so that they are not likely to damage the door seal; and 2) Load sharp knives with the handles up to reduce the risk of cut-type injuries. [. . . ] The cycle will not resume until the door is closed and Start/Resume is pressed. Display time is for models with the dual digit display on the console. These models meet the ENERGY STAR® guidelines for energy efficiency. The cycle countdown (on some models) pauses at these points until water reaches the temperature. gallons/liters.

Rinse Only
Use this rinse cycle for rinsing dishes, glasses, and silverware that will not be washed right away. Do not use detergent with this cycle.

*If the incoming water is less than the recommended temperature or food soils are heavy, the cycle will automatically compensate by adding time, heat, and water as needed.

Canceling a Cycle
Anytime during a cycle, press CANCEL/DRAIN. Your dishwasher starts a 2-minute drain, if needed, and clears all indicators. NOTE: If your dishwasher does not need draining, the dishwasher stops and clears all indicators.
To add items
1. The dishwasher resumes the cycle after a 5-second pause.
To stop the drain
You can press CANCEL/DRAIN again to stop the drain immediately. Be sure to drain the dishwasher before starting a new cycle.
Option Selections
You can customize your cycles by pressing an option. If you change your mind, press the option again to turn off the option, or select a different option if desired. If this adjustment cycle is canceled or stopped before the Clean light comes on at the end of the cycle, the next wash cycle will repeat this sensor adjustment.
To turn off the lock
Press and hold HEATED DRY for 4 seconds. The light turns off.
Delay start
Select this option to run your dishwasher at a later time or during off-peak hours. The delay countdown stops until you latch the door and press START/RESUME.
To delay the start
1. Select a wash cycle and option or skip to Step 3 to use the cycle and options selected for last cycle. (The door must be closed. ) The delay countdown starts, and the cycle will begin after 4 hours. NOTES: s To cancel the delay and cycle, press CANCEL/DRAIN.

Drying System
During drying, you can see steam escaping through the vent at the upper left corner of the door. This is normal as the heat dries your dishes.
To cancel the delay and start the cycle, press START/ RESUME.
Cycle Status Indicators
Follow the progress of your dishwasher with the Cycle Status Indicators. Do not touch the vent during drying.
Overfill Protection Float
Washing
Washing glows while the dishwasher is washing or rinsing the dishes. The overfill protection float (in the front right corner of the dishwasher tub) keeps the dishwasher from overfilling. It must be in place for the dishwasher to operate.
Drying
Drying glows while the dishwasher is drying your dishes.
Clean
Clean glows when a cycle is finished. The light turns off when you open the door or press CANCEL/DRAIN.
Check under the float for objects that may keep the protector from moving up or down.
