IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
· Usethisapplianceonlyasdescribedinthis instructionmanual. As with all electrical equipment, whilst the instructionsaimtocoverasmanyeventualitiesaspossible, cautionandcommonsense shouldbeappliedwhenoperatingandinstallingthisappliance. · Thisapplianceisdesignedforhomeairconditioningandmustnotbeusedforotherpurposes. · Itisdangeroustomodifyoralterthecharacteristicsoftheapplianceinanyway. [. . . ] "CF" is displayed when the limescale filter needs replacing. The efficacy of the filter depends on water hardness.
· Immersethepapercompletelyinaglassof waterforonesecond. After about a minute, 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 red squares appear, depending on the hardnessofthewater. Theappliancecanbe set to three different water hardness levels soft(H1), medium(H2)andhard(H3). Determinethehardnessofthewateryouwillbe usingbycomparingtheredsquaresonthe indicatorpaperwiththetablebelow.

Turn the appliance off and unplug from the mains. Makesurethereisnowaterintheapplianceby emptyingthetankandinternaltrayasdescribed inthesection:"Endofseasonoperations". Rest it on a towel or piece of cardboard to avoidscratchesordamage. Removethefiltercoverbyunscrewingthefourscrews(fig. 17). Removethefilter delicately and loosen thetwo ties, makingsurethetwohosesconnectingthe filterdonotslipinsidetheappliance. Fitthenew filter, following the same procedure in reverse (fig.
